SE 3800 Extra Credit

Extra Credit for SE 3800

Due: Sunday starting of week 11 (before any finals) at 11:59 p.m.

For 5 extra credit points on exam 2, watch a feature-length movie, attend a play or other live performance and relate that material to software engineering principles discussed in SE 3800. Constraints:

If based on a performance, the performance must be at least an hour in length and must be one at which the audience is expected to sit and listen (so does not include a live band at a local restaurant).
If it is a movie, it must either be currently shown or have been shown at traditional theaters.

Amateur productions - even at the high-school or middle-school level - are acceptable.

Write one to two pages briefly summarizing the content of the performance or movie and relating that content to software engineering concepts discussed in SE 3800, including the ACM/IEEE software engineering code of ethics that will be discussed towards the end of the term. See the weekly outcomes, noting that there have been some changes to the outcomes that are not reflected in the list.

This is an individual assignment. Unlike other assignments, you will be able to submit just one time. It will be graded on grammar, how well (and concisely!) you describe the work being discussed, and how well you use the work to illuminate desirable or undesirable software engineering practices.
