1. INTRODUCTION: Introduction to system dynamics, Dynamic system definition, Classification of Dynamic system, Models, Continuous- time systems and discrete ­time systems, Mathematical modeling of Dynamic systems, Analysis and Design of Dynamic Systems.

 

2. MECHANICAL SYSTEMS: Mechanical elements, Mathematical modeling of  Mechanical system, Translation motion, Rotational motion, Translation and Rotational motion.

 

3. ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS: Electrical elements, Mathematical modeling of Electrical system. Analogy between Mechanical and Electrical Systems. Mathematical modeling of Electromechanical systems.

 

4. FLUID AND THERMAL SYSTEMS: Mathematical modeling of liquid - level system, Mathematical modeling of pneumatic systems, Mathematical modeling of hydraulic systems, Mathematical modeling of thermal systems.

 

5. LINEAR SYSTEMS ANALYSIS IN THE TIME DOMAIN:

Natural and Forced responses, Transient-responses and steady-state response. Transient­ responses analysis of First order systems. and second order systems.

 

6. VIBRATION OF SINGLE DEGREE OF FREEDOM SYSTEMS: Free vibration of single Degree of Freedom systems, Free vibration of an undamped Translation system, Free vibration of undamped rotational system. Free vibration with viscous Damping. Logarithmic Decrement. Forced vibration of single Degree of Freedom Systems, Forced Undamped vibration, Forced vibration of Damped systems.
