Finding Potential Biomedical Employers

I have found business databases to be of using in locating employers of potential interest to biomedical engineering graduates. In general, these databases can be searched for companies using Boolean combinations of industry classifications (see my Industry Classification handout) and location (or size, years in business, etc).
I’ve identified two databases available through the MSOE library that appear to be useful for this type of search. These are the Explore Data Corp. – Technology Database (available on Warp and Admin via NAL) and the IAC Info Trac General Business ASAP (available from the library’s database web page). You will probably need to use the “Advanced Search” mode in these databases to define enough constraints to obtain useful results.
