Running MAX+plus II

The full version of MAX+plus II will only run on computers in S-343 and S-366.

Use AppMan to install MAX+plus II in your Mobile Windows setup.

Learning MAX+plus II

In the version 5.0 manuals (available at the Library Circulation Desk), work through the Tutorial (Section 3) in the Getting Started Manual (it starts on page 113) and the How to Use AHDL (Section 2) in the AHDL Manual (it starts on page 13).

In the version 3.0 manuals (available at the EECS Technical Support Center), work through the Tutorial (Section 2) in the Getting Started Manual (it starts on page 27) and the How to Use AHDL (Section 2) in the AHDL Manual (it starts on page 13).

Note that the projects done in the two Tutorials are completely different so working both of them might be to your advantage.

Controlling MAX+plus II Operation

Use Processing | Report File Settings... to control what information gets included in your report (.rpt) files.

Use Assign | Logic Options... to modify the way in which the MAX+plus II compiler synthesizes (derives equations for) your design logic.

Activate Options | Syntax coloring to have the MAX+plus II text editor colorize your text design file.
