I am very interested in modeling physiological systems. I am particularly interested in models involving the numerical solution of differential equations. My doctorial research involved numerical modeling of a temperature swing adsorption process for regeneration of renal dialysate. My Master's research involved a study of extracorporeal carbon dioxide removal (ECCO2R) processes and the development of a quantitative mathematical model of a specific ECCO2R process involving low blood flow rates through a membrane lung.
I use Critical Concpets' SimBioSys physiological simulation software in a number of my courses and have prepared introductory and detailed guides to this program.
