This document lists where to find the most commonly used Microsoft® Windows® application programs used in CS-185 (Fortran 90) assuming that you are using MSOE's Warp file server and Windows 3.11.

ProgramGroupPurpose
 Notepad  Accessories Creating Fortran 90 source code and other ASCII text files to be sent to Torres via FTP.
 Netscape  Express Accessing the course web page at http://www.msoe.edu/~tritt/cs185.
 WS_FTP  Library & Internet  Sending files to Torres.
 Pegasus  Express Sending e-mail to Dr. Tritt and others.
 Host Presenter  Express Establishing a VT-100/ANSI terminal connection to Torres. Host Presenter is Novell's telnet application.
 eXcursions  DEC Access Establishing a X Windows terminal connection to Torres.
 Bookreader  DEC Access Accessing online DEC documentation.

Alternate Programs for Use from Home

Consider using the following programs if you connect to Torres from home either via a Telnet or dial up connection.

 Category Program(s)
 Web Browsers Netscape or MS Internet Explorer
 E-mailers Eudora Light
 Telnet MS Windows 95 Telnet (telnet.exe in the windows folder).
 FTP WS_FTP
